How many things can happen to one person?
Michael’s girlfriend dumps him and returns pregnant, and he feels obliged to marry her. Then he gets a job and has an instant connection with his boss, an older woman, and a married one at that. His feelings for her grow more intense each time they meet, and his bluntness shocks him.
As an independent woman with insufferable board members, there’s a lot at stake and a younger employee who makes her blood boil with desire will not ruin that.
It’s different because the dialogue leads the story and reveals the characters. It’s a contemporary romance with a few well-crafted who-dun-it surprises.
I would have loved to see their growth in their action. It felt rushed towards the end but it was an enjoyable read.
